Can't Get Better than This

Story Behind The Song

When Brenda and I first met there was powerful sexual energy but I lived about 1000 miles from her. Visits were powerful. I wrote this song based on one of our early visits.

Song Description

Early relationships tend to have a sexualized energy that causes the rest of the world to stand still. This song attempts to capture that energy.

Lyrics

I feel my fingers searching for your skin amid the soap,
My eyes start searching for your glance, that glance that gives me hope,
And when your eyes meet mine,
Just one thing comes to mind,
?it can?t get better than this.
No nothings better than this?..oh this.

There was no looking, I was content to live my life.
Nothing to lose, I wore no strings, I thought I?d roll the dice.
Suddenly time stands still,
A wave we ride until?
? it can?t get better than this.
No nothing is better than this

Bridge All my life I never took the time to dance,
But I had rhythm in my soul,
Now fate provides me, this one last chance.
I match your step, I come out bold.

At one with the space between the sheets, between our souls,
Yet two, but undivided, can be as one. Or so I?m told.
Forced to live here and now.
Still choosing to make a vow,
? it can?t get better than this
No nothing is better than this?.oh this.
