Where Are We Going

Story Behind The Song

This song was initially inspired by watching people streaming in and out of our public library. I was wondering about their stories. As the music came to me, I remembered skiping down the street as a child in my father's hand as he sang limerick's. I remembered his twinkling eyes, kindness and how he made life an adventure based on friends, family and faith. It is also about my friend, mentor, writing partner, Gail Quillman who possesses those very same qualities. They have both inspired me to embrace life with joy. This song is dedicated to my father, Russell Colvin and my long time friend, Gail Quillman.
