Pondering the joys of being with someone for a long time got me to thinking of the pitfalls as well. The complacency and normal day to day that settles in. Then the big question of Why does it have to be that way?....I started to think of a couple sitting on the couch, for the one millionth time...sinking into another evening of watching TV together, but separate. I imagined one of them just hitting the off button on the remote and turning to their partner and pleading....for what they used to have. Let's start the fire back up.
