Story Behind The Song

This song attempts to paraphrase a story that Jesus told about a beggar named Lazarus and an unnamed rich man. There are many profundities in the story but an important one is a refutation of the idea that humans have the ability and perspective to know that a God of Love and a world of Evil are contradictory. If this story is only "possible" it proves the illogical and arrogance of any human who asserts they have all the information necessary to make such a judgment.
