Very original sound with great wit and instrumentation. Sounds exactly like something Warren Zevon would have done. Great arrangement and the vocals work excellently with this piece. The sound never lets up, like a good movie that will never lull you to sleep.
I like the flow of the lyrics...wacky chorus, an elvis on a telephone pole...all of godz children need to rock and roll... love it!
Nice classic rock intro. This song is cute and funny - a story about a rocker meeting Elvis on top of a telephone poll. Considering the Elvis sightings that have happened over the years, this is a great premise for a song, and the chorus is very catchy! The lyrics of the verses are also carefully and cleverly written....tight and fresh rhyming work. Well done! Your song put a smile on my face for sure. Spoken word at the end was a good way to conclude your song. I bet your audiences get a kick out of this one.
My bro wants to put this song on his playlist for our Friday night tailgate parties. We're playing this here in our home today. Mom is rocking and jiggling - dad just fell over onto the cat. Sis is not in a good mood this morning, she's yelling at us to turn this down LOL.
I like the beat and the lyrics are hilarious, I also really like the hook. Sounds a little like Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show.
Cool song. Kind of reminds a little of ELO in the "Don't Bring me Down" vein. Interesting and fun lyrics which make it a very sing-a-long type song!
What can I say, A fun song with a good band/instrument backing. I always wondered what really happened to Elvis :p I can see this being used in TV/Film.
Funny pop-rock'n'roll that flows very well, and it's very well produced.
