Story Behind The Song
I wrote „I'll Bring You Home" a couple of years ago as a simple folk song for my loved ones to remind them of how much I love them. I often feel that I am better at putting my emotions into songs than words, hence I write many songs for the people that are important to me although they seldom end up recorded. I'll bring you home turned out to be a better song than most of my cheesy voice memo songs I send around and I really enjoy playing it live, because it creates a wonderful connection between the people in the room when they sing along.
We all want to love and be loved, we want to be there for our friends, families, partners... and we want them to know that they can count on us. I feel like that's a universal theme that connects all of us no matter who you are or where you come from. And I think that the song really brings that point home (pun very much intended), so it feels amazing to finally share it with everyone.
I'm really grateful for my supportive family and my friends that help me make the music I love and I would like to dedicate this song to them. And it couldn't be more fitting that it features several of them: my Mum singing backing vocals, my Dad in the studio with the arrangement, two of his best friends on drums and mixing the track. I've said this several times, I don't believe in working alone and sharing my music with these wonderful people is a true honor. So here's a song I wrote to say something that isn't always easy to put in words but that can't be said enough „When the nights are cold, and you're all alone, I'll bring you home". Feel free to sing along!
Song Description
I wrote „I'll Bring You Home" a couple of years ago as a simple folk song for my loved ones to remind them of how much I love them. I usually end my live gigs with the song, it's a great one for the audience to sing along. It brings people together because we all want to love and be loved, we want to be there for our friends, families, partners... and we want them to know that they can count on us. The song starts with guitar and vocals, in the first chorus an electric guitar plays a sweet melody. Then the second verse introduces the bass and drums that will be there throughout the rest of the song. After the second chorus comes a more quiet part that's followed by another chorus with full instrumentation and backing vocals. The song ends with a sing along part that repeats "I'll Bring You Home" with spoken words of encouragement.

Lyrics
No I won't go
I am bound I love you so
So don't say I'll go
'cause you know that you're my love
So when the nights are cold and you're all alone
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
And when the stories told shatter all your bones
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
Like a bird
I am free, free to have you next to me
Say a word
Dream a dream
We can change reality
So when the nights are cold and you're all alone
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
And when the stories told shatter all your bones
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
When the truth kicks in
And the night brings you to your knees
Tears released
When you confess your sins
And fire burns under your feet
Your soul screams
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
So when the nights are cold and you're all alone
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
And when the stories told shatter all your bones
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
(They won't bring us down)
I'll bring you home
(we will stand our ground)
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
(when the path's unclear)
I'll bring you home
(you don't have to fear)
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
(There's a ray of light)
I'll bring you home
(it will be alright)
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
I'll bring you home
(You will hear me say)
I'll bring you home
(It will be ok)
I'll bring you home
