So I'm a skeptic and I've always been that way
I lost my faith because I used my brain
to think it out and so I've got my doubts
but I'd be likely to accept as true
things I can't understand if I could hear them from you
anyway - if you could tell me

where it is that I'm going where it is that I've been
is there any such thing as original sin
and am I really worthy of this thing they call love
what do you know with a view from above

I'm not expecting any miracles of late
but if you were to appear now it would be so great
