What a great story. Songwriter paints a clear picture of this sleepy, unchanging southern town. Love the development of the story. He's breakin' out, bustin' loose...before he becomes yesterday's news. Love the general store picture with the family ownership. So real! Great lyric writing! Rhymes are fantastic. Vocal has just the right amount of country twang. Love the bridge (mama say a prayer for me). Great bass playing. Love the keys too!
