I had some lyrics written, or some words maybe, and found a few good chords, put it together quick, and recorded it into my laptop. Finished it out in the backyard shed.

I met a girl while i was waiting on the hill...she said her Mama threw her out, cause daddy had got at her again...
She grew up good...and she looks better than her Ma...it's not her fault, it's just easier this way...She told me about her life, and her dad's first wife...
And the way she tried to turn her out...got her stuck on the pin, but now she's clean again...and mad as hell...
It's just as well, she left home again...she started to roam, and here we are today...

At the liquor store, the clerk offered her some " work " ...in the back room, on her knees...so i shot him in the face.
Now we're sitting on the hill...waiting for the sirens...
I told her i love her...sorry i'll have to go. She said she'd wait for me...i know she lied, but that's fine...
...i said, " sorry about your dad..." ...she said, " kill him for me..." ...so off we went...
She stabbed her Mom, and i shot her dad...
Now we're sitting on top o' the hill, watching the Sun go down...
We're thinking Kentucky...or maybe even Maine...start over again...in some new town.
