Lyrics

Who Is A Scot

Who heard the ancient battle cry? A chieftain's bloodied sword held high to a cloudy cross in the azure sky.

Who is a Scot?

Who saw proud Wallace's face?
Guardian of our celtic race slay tyrants with his sword and mace

Who is a Scot?

Who smelt the blood and sensed the fear?
Who felt the Bruce's spirit near?
At Bannockburn who shed a tear?

Who is a Scot?

Who knew the pride felt at Arbroath?
Which freeman love and tyrants loathe to sign the pledge and take the oath

Who is a Scot?

Who felt the shame and shivered cold their heritage and freedom sold for a wagonload of tainted gold

Who is a Scot?

Who paid a heavy bloodsoaked toll?
So foreign powers should ne'er control my gaelic heart and celtic soul

I AM A SCOT

Awesome bagpipes in beginning, totally drew me in. I really enjoyed this, great production and sounds. I don't normally like spoken word stuff but it works well on this. Beautiful mood and vibe, best of luck with this. Very compelling! The quality of the sounds and mix is excellent. Nice emotion in both the spoken and sung vocals.

Great musicianship and vocals. I really loved the bag pipes. There is something about that instrument that evokes such emotion.

Very enjoyable celtic music! Nice vocals, and lyrics! Good back up music for a movie!

There is a very nice touch of The Moody Blues in this fine composition. Spoken word and lyrical verse are well woven in the fabric, as the very blood of the Scott's that runs through my veins. Another dream tonight of other times in my own celtic soul after hearing the beckoning call of the bagpipe.

Very well recorded with a balanced arrangement. Great potential for the Celtic/Traditional Music Genre. Would also work well without vocals as an instrumental soundtrack.

This was refreshing..... I never hear this stuff, unless in a movie, or something. I have to play, teach, and listen to stuff all day long....much of it I would rather not even hear. So this was real neat-o to listen to. Good job! Love me some bagpipes in 6 also! This is a real classy/pure genre.
