Story Behind The Song

Traveling from Baton Rouge north on the day that Katrina hit, these thoughts filled my head and then as Rita hit while no one was recovered from Katrina, the song took a whole new meaning for not only Louisiana, but the Gulf Coast.

Hopeful, truthful look at 2005's hurricanes from the view point of someone who is a Louisiana native and has seen hurricanes come and go, but still stays on.
