Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song while contemplating the ideas of predestination vs. free will. This song explores the feeling of helplessness that can accompany radical life change. This song is a search for peace in the love of a divine being. I began to realize that everyone including political figures and holy people are searching for the solace that I am.
Song Description
Presidents and Priests is as close to a concept song as I have ever written. It is catchy in its own way but works more as a whole idea. There are multiple instruments including: electric guitar, bass, violin, harmony vocals, and piano featured. This song is composed of two big sections with an outro. I especially like the outro. It has a nice 3 part violin arrangement which i played and wrote.

Lyrics
Where are you? Where are you?
Creation began a long, a long time ago.
One day he said it's good and left us all on our own.
I'd climb a mountain to heaven to see you if you were only there.
But I know it was hard to free us, it shows you really care.
Just one moment of time is all I need.
An honest, open heart I'm down on my knees.
They're begging presidents and priests for a shred of peace.
But, I can see you are everywhere.
I can see you are everything.
Where are you?
I miss all my friends I've lost to the fabric of time.
Send me a way to feel them perhaps some hope or something I can climb.
How do I tell my little girl the lessons of my life?
I bet I know what you're thinking, "keep her close don't let her leave your side."
