Story Behind The Song

I was originally inspired to write music to W.H. Auden's poem Funeral Blues after hearing it recited in the funeral scene of the movie Four Weddings and A Funeral. I was very moved by this scene and the music is a result of this.

Song Description

Music originally written to put the poem "Funeral Blues" by W.H. Auden to music. This would only be possible if permission from Auden's publisher is granted - and as I wanted to omit some of the poem to make it fit the music - that's probably not likely to happen.
