This Christmas song is about wanting a loved one home for the holidays. From soldiers overseas to loved ones that are separated from their families because of the economy or many other reasons it's a common theme these days and felt more deeply during the holiday season.
I'd never written a Christmas song in all the years I've been a songwriter and was determined to finally do it. I wrote it over the Christmas holidays of 2008 and finished it around Christmas time. I've done several versions - this one more of an urban pop meets American standard.
