Story Behind The Song
This song evolved from a short instrumental piece of mine called "Running Hungry" that somehow got melded with another song that popped into my brain that became "I'm In Love With The City". The latter song became the title tune to my soon-to-be-released new record. I recorded four extra, extended variations on "I'm In Love With The City," inviting my bandmates in Wilfred N & the Grown Men to contribute their own experimental thing to each uniquely individual variation that I put together. This Wilfred In The City" variation is my own take on my own original tune . . . i.e. the electronic stuff in the middle and the end of the song is mine.

This is a song expressing the feeling of being stuck in the city and, despite being ground down by it, ultimately being in love with it.
