Story Behind The Song
I've learned over time that one repeats the same mistakes one makes in love until you figure out the rut that you're in and make an effort to change to a positive pattern. This song is about learning from past mistakes and learning to love yourself before you are a suitable partner for someone else who is strong and comfortable with their own self.
Song Description
Crying is a beautiful easy-listening ballad I wrote featuring harmonica virtuoso Tom Stryker with a lush orchestral accompaniment including strings, French horn, flute, bassoon and more. As the title implies, Crying is a sad song about a person who never seems to be able to find true love but is learning from mistakes and is close to understanding the patterns in which he/she is stuck, so it's also a hopeful song.

Lyrics
N/A This version is an instrumental. However, there is a vocal version and these are the lyrics:
Crying
Crying is the rain that washes all the pain away.
Love is the sun that shines upon us.
The sun dries all the tears that made the rainy day.
The rain blocked out the sun.
And when we're crying we can't see too far beyond the clouds that mist our eyes.
The thunder clouds the song.
We feel like we're gone,
Like everything is wrong,
But the rain is just a state of mind. It makes you temporarily blind.
Chorus
Loving you is something I'd like to do.
Wait awhile.
I need to give my hate away,
Learn to smile again, learn to love,
Live in peace. Feel a bit.
And when we're loving,
All the world's a tiny place.
Our hearts reach out beyond infinity and space.
The love's too much to take,
But we deserve to love. Just open up the gate.
We only have to love to stop our. . .
Crying - forgiveness is a state of mind like dying.
I'm trying to let the past go flying away.
I have to love myself before I'll trust another love.
One chance for us to finally dance, and stop this. . .
Crying, and start our
Loving.
