Story Behind The Song
The Unity Church in Coeur d'Alene asked me to sing a song, so I got the theme of the sermon and wrote the song Changes to fit the theme, first performing it in church on March 2013. It was well-received.
Song Description
The song has a funky, syncopated beat throughout. The instrumental version features harmonica virtuoso concert and touring artist Tom Stryker. There is a funky, jazzy background rhythm carried by the bass and acoustic guitar. Dan McCollim adds fill-ins with a syncopated jazz electric p[iano.

Lyrics
This is an instrumental. The vocal version will include lyrics like these:
Changes
They say things never change.
The more they change the more they stay the same.
The Bible says there's nothing new under the sun.
For some that's true. change the more they true.
The more they the things nev er change. The more they change the more they stay the same. The Bib le says there's no thing new un der the sun. For some that's true.
To me, each day brings something new.
Every day gets better, too, it's true.
As long as I keep my eyes focussed on you.
Chorus:
Change is paradoxical, magical and mystical, it's true.
Dinosaurs forgot to change. That's why they have left this plane, that's so strange.
Can you spare some change?
Can you afford not to rearrange.
Flexibility can entertain, you all your life.
Just live your life.
