The song is based on a personal experience of unrequited love. Seeing that person that you long to be with in a relationship with someone else that you feel is just not right for them. Caring deeply for someone else but being powerless to do anything about it.

The vocalist tells a very personal story about a girl that he longs to be with and how he is troubled by her current choice of partner.
