Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song over twenty years ago, and it was set aside when I dropped out of the business for a time. All these years later, it still keeps resurfacing, even though I'd never performed it out or recorded it. So, I figured it was about time.
Song Description
You hear a lot of blues and country songs about cheatin', but not a whole lot about the angst that goes along with the temptation while remaining faithful, so here's mine!

Lyrics
Don?t tempt me
I can?t stand much more
Your longing eyes, boy, they see right through me
And they could make me lose it all
He was my life
And I?m still his wife
But all that I?m feeling is getting harder to hide
So don?t tempt me
Though the fire can?t be denied
That man?s been good to me
And you know I?ve got my pride
But my thoughts revolve around you, baby
Like the earth around the sun
And I know I don?t have a teardrop?s chance in hell
If I don?t turn and run
INSTRUMENTAL
But my thoughts revolve around you
Like the earth around the sun
And I know I don?t have a teardrop?s chance in hell
If I don?t turn and run
So don?t you tempt me
No, Don?t tempt me
Don?t tempt me darlin?
