Song Description
Part of my inspiration for the lyrics comes from Diogenes as well as Jerome, who pictures the apostle John as the disciple of love, who in his extreme old age had to be carried in to the meeting-place in Ephesus on the arms of his disciples, while he repeated again and again the exhortation, "Little children, love one another," adding: "This is the Lord's command, and if this alone be done, it is enough."
Special thanks to John Crossman for the additional lyrics.
Dedicated to my bandmates and brothers of the Ojibwe, bass player Richard Valliere and drummer Don Gordon and to all my brethren among the First Nations.

																Lyrics

									LOVE TO BURN
What of those who say
There's no need for Him today
He belongs in a sanctioned space
Can't inhabit every place
If we shut the door, shut the book
Never to ask, never to look
Till the TIME is right
What if they're right?
Wouldn't it be Cool?
I've come to learn
He's Love to Burn!
Love!
Love to burn
Love!
And what of those who say
In this awesome age
When we've come so far
He can be everything to everyone
It depends
He's like the wind
He comes and goes
And it's up to us
To decide His ways
Figure Him out
Pass Him on
Just as if
He's a children's Nursery Rhyme
I've been moved
I've seen the Light
I've been called
Eye-eye-eye
Love to Burn!
Love!
Love to burn
Love!
What of those who say
I only trust in my own way
I can't be wrong
I'm enough
I don't need anyone
I'll save myself
I believe only in what I see
And what I touch
It's got to be real
And what I feel is enough for me
I'm sure it's gonna be good enough
For me
What of those who say
He's a naked bulb in an alley way
A tiny light for failing eyes
Just a man in a thin disguise
An ancient truth to the very wise
It's far more hip to theorize
There are so many paths
To enlightenment, enlightenment
We are god, oh boy!
We are gods
I've been moved
I've seen the Light
I've been called
Eye-eye-eye
Love to Burn!
Love!
Love to burn
Love!
