Very interesting time signature changes and the instrumentation was very solid. While l'm not into lo-fi myself, you could do yourself a huge favor by re-categorizing this as lo-fi instead of "general rock" as it's much truer to the sound you produce. I actually liked the clean vocal in the turnaround 10 times better than the over-driven sound, but that's just personal taste. Overall still a good track.
So excellent. Great combination of powerful thematic lyrics and story with excellent vocal "feel" nuance and articulation, great musicianship on the instruments which display precision and intensity that perfectly fit the beat and dynamics. All elements supported the others to make this epic. Well done turning up the dynamic that lead to chorus, and taking a break where the song became "pretty" at 2:17 before that intense guitar solo at 2:30 that fit the lyric and story so powerfully. Well done all around. Truly great song.
