Lyrics

ODYSSEY [QE2] by Joe Kozak

Intro:
I continue on this quest and each challenge is a test
I'm armed only with my wit and my sword
There's demons kept at bay along with dragons yet to slay
And kingdoms still to be explored

V1:
What once seems like a lifetime ago, when things were more inviting
I had a castle, small but strong, and a maiden so exciting
Then fate came along with its mighty sword and challenged me to battle
Took from me my home and my lady so fair
And knocked me from my saddle
There's no looking back as I pick up my pack, and journey off into the grey
With nowhere to go, I just follow the flow of the currents that sweep me away

V2:
Many a road has led me astray through battlefields and ruins
I seek help from healers, sages, and friends to maintain my endurance
With flickering sanity and waning humanity, my mana is running low
Caught in reality with no rationality, still onwards I must go

Chorus:
My destiny is the Odyssey, a prison without any bars
Fated to this Odyssey that's guided by the stars

V3:
No quarter is shown to each challenge and test
And whatever must be will be
No magic can save me, this geas enslaves me
Slave to my own destiny
How this tale may truly end are pages yet unwritten
Will this purgatory lead me to paradise or perdition?

Chorus:
My legacy is the Odyssey, a prison without any bars
Fated to this Odyssey, guided by the stars
