Christmas Bells

Story Behind The Song

My wife and I heard John Gorka perform this song, and my wife fell in love with it. She asked that Christmas Bells be included in one of my recordings. I am backed-up on: guitar by my son, Dustin, violin by John Patek, vocals by my sister Veronica. Of course the song was altered, but the spirit remained intact.

Song Description

The lyrics are from a poem by Longfellow, written during the American Civil War in which Longfellow's son served, and is about having faith that good will prevail.
